Meet Romina — a cybersecurity apprentice at SysGroup with an unconventional route into the industry. Previously a bartender, she describes the role as “essentially human-layer packet switching: managing requests and mitigating overflow.”

Learning regularly from genuinely inspiring, knowledgeable and well-rounded people who are a lot of fun to be around.

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?

Working through technical learning modules, managing lab virtual machines, and watching technology content and science fiction.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Use your brain or somebody else will do it for you.
